Acute and Chronic Bronchitis
Bronchitis is the inflammation and swelling of the tubes that carry air to the lungs, called the bronchi. Cough and runny nose persisted.

What is chronic bronchitis?

Chronic bronchitis is inflammation (swelling) and irritation of the bronchial tubes. These tubes are the airways that carry air to and from the air sacs in your lungs. The irritation of the tubes causes mucus to build up.

There are two types:

Acute Bronchitis: This is more common. Symptoms last for weeks, but usually do not cause problems after that.
Chronic Bronchitis: This is more serious. It will come back or will not disappear.
